The Spook Who Sat By The Door
This is a movie...Herbie Hancock did the music. I love the soundtrack and had heard so much about this film, things like "this was banned in America", "one of the top blaxsploitation films ever". I heard these things and they were right. This film was banned and out of print in the US. People thought that the film would spurn blacks to revolt and kill white people. This point is so ironic because the film deals with a similar idea.
Synopsis: CIA wants to integrate to look good. Begin training black men. Wants them to fail and not succeed, only one does. He gets dicked around by the CIA for a few years and decides to leave. He returns to the mean streets of Chicago ready to start a revolution. Our protagonist organizes the local gang, teaches them CIA tactics, and begins plans to start a guerilla war against America. Then, white people get merked.
Classic Qualifier: This movie has a million classic lines, some of which you may recognize from several rap songs. Also, Herbie Hancock provides a tripped out soundtrack that ROCKS.
